Hello everyone!
Today I’m super excited to show you an amazing RC car — the Tractionhobby 1/6 Porsche 934 RC car!
This licensed Porsche model is not only super cool but also super powerful. It even comes in an official Gulf Oil livery. This version costs a little more than the red one, but the first batch includes a free set of rally tires, which is such a great deal for RC car enthusiasts.

This model was made by Tractionhobby, in collaboration with the international company PRIMALRC.
You might not recognize that name, but if I tell you they built the world’s largest “Grave Digger,” you’ll probably remember!
Yes — this Porsche 934 is an officially licensed Porsche model, so it’s 100% authentic and perfect for serious collectors and players.

HOW TO USE?

Hello everyone, the Tractionhobby RAM 1500 rc car is now on sale, and it looks absolutely stunning. I have a brushed version of the RAM 1500 here, which comes with a DUMBORC DDF-350 10-channel LCD Display Remote Controller. Let’s take a look together at how to use the remote controller for this car.

Ⅰ. Description of Core Channel (CH) Functions

Channel (CH)Corresponding FunctionSpecific Operation and Status
CH3Light Group Control– Control Scope: Hood light, low beam, high beam, daytime running light, front bumper light, rear light group (including high-mount light)- Operation Logic: Press the button to turn the lights on/off; the front bumper light needs to be pressed 3 times to turn on
CH4High/Low Speed Switching– Initial Status: No light indicates high speed, light on indicates low speed (reverse adjustment is available via settings)- Adjustment Requirement: The factory default status may not fit usage habits, and reverse customization is allowed
CH7Drive Mode SwitchingSwitch among three drive modes: front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive
CH8Front Axle Differential Lock (Factory Setting)In some versions, it is used to control the front axle differential lock; light on indicates locked, no light indicates unlocked
CH9/CH10Differential Lock Control (Common for Customization)– General Logic: Light on indicates both front and rear axle differential locks are fully locked; no light indicates unlocked- Alternative: It can be customized to control the differential lock via CH3/CH4 according to personal preference

Ⅱ. Steps for Reverse Adjustment of CH4 High/Low Speed

  1. Enter the Setting Interface: Find the “Basic Settings” option on the remote control and select the “Channel Reverse” function.
  2. Adjust Parameters:
    • Factory Default: The K4 parameter is -110 and +50 (corresponding to “no light = high speed, light on = low speed”)
    • Reverse Setting: Change the parameters to “a = -50, +110”; after adjustment, “light on = high speed, no light = low speed” (flexible modification is allowed according to usage habits).
  3. Verify the Effect: Switch the remote control car to street mode for idling test, and confirm that after adjustment, “light on = high speed, no light = low speed” (or the target status) to ensure the switching logic meets expectations.

Ⅲ. Recommendations for Custom Channel Functions

  • Principle of Flexible Adjustment: There is no fixed standard for channel functions, which can be modified according to the comfort of operation. For example:
    • Assign the frequently used differential lock function to CH3/CH4 (replacing the factory default settings of light group and high/low speed)
    • Adjust the high/low speed switching to CH8 (the original front axle differential lock channel)
  • Applicable Version: The above settings are based on the “brushed version remote control car”; the brushless version has slightly different functions and is not applicable to this guide for the time being.

Ⅳ. Summary and Tips

  1. Review of Factory Default Configuration: CH3 (light group), CH4 (high/low speed), CH7 (drive mode), CH8 (front axle differential lock), CH10 (rear axle differential lock); the remote control car can be used with default functions immediately after unboxing.
  2. Personalized Recommendations: It is recommended to adjust channel functions according to personal operation habits. Focus on whether the CH4 high/low speed logic is comfortable to use, and the differential lock channel can be flexibly assigned.
  3. Applicable Scope: The brushed version remote control car can be set directly with reference to this guide; the brushless version needs to be adjusted in combination with the specific model instructions.

Tractionhobby RAM 1500 1/8 RC Car

After a long wait, Tractionhobby’s blockbuster new release — the RAM 1500 — has finally made its official debut!
I still remember seeing its prototype at last year’s Beijing Expo. Tractionhobby has truly lived up to the expectations of players and fans — the moment I held the real car in my hands, every bit of waiting felt worthwhile. Now, let’s dive into the key details of this machine.

Tractionhobby RAM 1500 1/8 RC Car

Appearance & Dimensions

The first impression of the RAM 1500 is simple: massive.
Placed on a table, it stretches beyond both ends. The overall length exceeds 700mm, with a 463mm wheelbase, 222mm track width, and a hefty 10.6kg net weight. This scale is nothing short of colossal.

Battery Compartment & Power

Removing the RAM 1500’s body shell reveals a super-sized battery bay.
In testing, Gens Ace 6400mAh 3S and 6000mAh 4S batteries fit with ease. Special thanks go to Gens Ace for sponsoring the batteries in this video — “No Gens Ace, No RC” is no exaggeration.

The RAM 1500 supports 2S–4S batteries. The higher the voltage, the more powerful the performance.

Features & Controls

True to Tractionhobby’s style, the RAM 1500 offers exceptional playability:

  • High/Low Speed Modes: Controlled by a rotary switch. Turn counterclockwise to the end for low speed, the middle is neutral, clockwise to the end for high speed.
  • Drive Modes: Three-position toggle, switching between front-wheel, four-wheel, and rear-wheel drive.
  • Differential Locks: Front and rear diffs can be locked or unlocked independently at any time.

Innovative Structure

Unlike the F150, the RAM 1500 eliminates the rear bed’s “cover box.” Why?
Because it features an innovative horizontal shock absorber design!
With a triple-link system that translates vertical force into horizontal force, the suspension maintains performance while greatly freeing up the rear bed space. The result: enhanced realism without sacrificing practicality.

Lighting System

Once powered on, the most striking feature is its lighting system:

  • Daytime Running Lights: LED strips rival those of real vehicles.
  • High-Mounted Brake Light & Tail Lights: Gorgeous when illuminated.
  • Fog Lights: Activated by Tractionhobby’s signature “triple-tap steering” method.
  • Turn Signals & Hazard Lights: Double-tap to change DRL color or activate hazards; turn signals work independently even with hazards on.
  • Brake & Reverse Lights: Brake lights activate when throttle is released; reverse lights illuminate in reverse gear.

The attention to detail is impressive, with nighttime effects that are simply stunning.

Details & Accessories

On the outside, the RAM 1500 comes with metal wheels for maximum realism.
Additionally, Tractionhobby includes a bonus set of wider tires — same diameter as stock but wider tread for improved performance.

The front-end detailing is especially noteworthy: a bold RAM logo, tow hook mounts, air vents, finely crafted lights, side badges, door handles, foldable mirrors… every element shows Tractionhobby’s dedication to authenticity. This is truly the benchmark for soft-shell RC trucks.

Power & Configurations

Tractionhobby offers two versions of the RAM 1500:

  • Brushed Version: $999.99 — powerful enough for scale realism and casual performance.
  • Brushless Version: $1099.99 — equipped with a Hobbywing 8-in-1 ESC system, delivering stronger, smoother, and more responsive power.

Conclusion

From detailing and functionality to realism and lighting, the RAM 1500 comes impressively close to hard-shell scale trucks in refinement. Aside from non-opening doors, it leaves little to criticize.
At this price point, a truck of this size and completeness is truly worth every penny.

Currently, the RAM 1500 is available in Blue, China Red, and Silver. The unit shown in this Review is the Blue version, but all three look stunning.

So, RC enthusiasts — what’s your take on the RAM 1500? Share your thoughts in the comments!
